"What Goes On Tour Stays On Tour" captures seven days in Vietnam, and the interaction of three men slogging along on mountain bikes amid the rugged beauty of the Tongkinese Alps. The journey takes them into the heart of Vietnam's northern tribes, beyond the familiar terraces of rice paddies and river deltas, into a rougher country of mountain maize and limestone crags. The roads and tracks provide physical tests and painful tumbles, but the journey also strains the bonds of friendship between the trio, as much as their legs. They are forced to look inside themselves, as well as interacting with the people and landscape they encounter. History, politics and philosophy mingle with cultural commentary, personal revelations and vodka fuelled excess.
